Why Oil Cleanse?
One principle in Homeopathy is, "similia similibus curantur," which is Latin for, "like cures like." All day our skin makes natural oils called, sebum. Throughout the day dirt collects on our sebum and can clog our pores. Keeping in mind the "like cures like" principle, it only makes sense to use oil to break up that sebum and the debris that gets stuck to it. The same goes for using oil to remove makeup, which often contains oils and waxes. The Oil Cleansing Method gently cleanses our skin deeply while nourishing it, and that's why we love it.

The Creosote Plant aka Chaparral or in Latin; Larrea Tridentata is one of the world's oldest known plants. The Creator made it to be a survivor, making its home in the harshest of environments with summer temperatures reaching 110+ degrees, winters that often go below freezing, and with very little water. This survivor is everywhere you turn in the Mojave, and contains medicine for a number of ailments. This is why we call it King of the Desert.
At Fat and Plant we have captured Creosote's intoxicating scent and skin healing properties in a 1oz. tin. Fat&Plant's topical pain balm in a convenient hands-free tube. Our Pain-Aide is made with 90,000 heat unit cayenne pepper which is long known to be a great friend for deep pain relief. With the addition of locally wildcrafted California Sagebrush (Artemisia Californica) which has also been traditionally used for topical pain relief, and the cool healing power of Menthol and Camphor, this pain balm is a winner. When used daily, it has the power to gradually dull pain receptors and lower inflammation over time.
